During, Diane Jean Corlee
During, Diane Jean Corlee
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Jean Corlee During in Strathmore on Friday, April 16th, 2021 at the age of 64 after a brief battle with cancer.
Diane was predeceased by her mother Doris and father Raymond. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Rick; her children Derrick (Seccora), Sarah, and Amber; as well as her six beloved grandchildren Samantha, Krystian, Annabelle, Mathew, Travis, and Ethan. She is survived by her stepmother Gillian; her 2 brothers Richard and Michael (Jenny); and sisters Linda (Jim), Rayanna, and Elaine (Hal); as well as the many sisters who came into her life and became part of her family. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families.
Originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Diane moved to Alberta in her 20s, where she pursued her passion of becoming a nurse. She genuinely loved her job and was dedicated to helping people both at work and in her personal life. The kindness in her heart allowed her to touch many people. She always led the charge to help people in need and gave her all in support of others.
She was a fun-loving person who loved to laugh, sing poorly, enjoyed the occasional Baileys, and she never met a dark chocolate that she did not like. In the past few years, she was able to travel with her sisters, but didn’t get to the trains part of the Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. She loved reading books and sipping Tetley’s Earl Gray tea, and only Tetley’s Earl Gray. She was a cool Nanny who made every amusement park ride fun and loved playing poker with her grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please feel free to take a shot of Bailey’s in her honour. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choosing.
