Way, Charles William
Way,Charles William
(January 19, 1933 – August 22, 2020)
Our much loved Dad, Grandpa and Companion,
Charlie Way, quietly departed this earth early on a
Saturday morning, just before dawn.
Charlie was a kind, thoughtful man, with a soft spot for both people and animals, and the loving patriarch of our family. He was a small town, southern Alberta boy with a huge heart and an inquisitive mind who lived his life with integrity and taught by example. Charlie was a man of many talents; not only was he an awesome Dad, he a was a skilled farmer, mechanic, athlete, storyteller, antique car restorer and a connoisseur of fine, homemade lemon meringue pies.
Following the Way tradition of a telephone call to let family know you had arrived safely at your destination, Charlie’s uncharged cell phone rang at 6:02 a.m. on August 22, 2020, with a blank screen, letting us know that he had arrived safely on the other side. Charlie and Wimmie, his wife of 65 years are together again; off on yet another adventure, this time in the celestial realm.
Our hearts are missing him greatly.
