Recovery Month to support overcoming addiction

Addiction is a deep hole from which to climb out, but there are many who have done it.
The Government of Alberta announced that September is Recovery Month, in an effort to support Albertans in addiction recovery.
“There are many brave Albertans who have acknowledged their dependencies, moved on towards treatment, and now proudly announce that they are in recovery,” said Jason Luan, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, in a Sept. 3 press release.
“These experiences constantly renew my continued passion and persistence in ensuring Albertans have access to a world-class, publicly funded continuum of care, spanning prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery.
