GARTNER, Larry Joseph

January 30, 1937 – May 1, 2020

Larry passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 1, 2020 and will be deeply missed by his family.  He was born in Primate, Saskatchewan, and was the youngest of 16 children of Mike and Anna Gartner.  He leaves behind Dianne, his wife of 53 years, three sons Dan (Stacey) of Barriere BC, Steve (Cheryl) of Whitehorse YK, Matthew (Jocelynn) of Strathmore, AB; five grandchildren, Jessica, Chad, Abigail, William and Katie; one brother Ted of Edmonton AB; two sisters-in-law Monique Gartner of Edmonton, AB and Madeline Gartner of Macklin Saskatchewan as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Larry was a farmer, carpenter and accountant.  He loved to build everything including houses, furniture, gifts and guitars.  Larry loved to go sliding down the hill with the kids, to play the guitar, to teach the kids songs he learned in school and to tell them wild stories.
