DUNCALF, Nadine (nee Ned)
Nadine Duncalf (nee Ned), beloved wife of John Duncalf of Rosedale, Alberta passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the family farm on February 18, 2020 in her 76th year.
Nadine was born in Chester, England, she was the daughter of John and Phyllis (Madge) Hewitt. Nadine and John met in 1960 when they attended college together. There were married on March 31, 1965. In 1980 the family made the move to Canada and settled at Rockyford, Alberta and later purchasing a farm at Rosedale, Alberta.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her husband John, daughter Lynne Ketcheson (Brent), Paula (John) Kilback, Neil (Donna) Duncalf, Lionel (Robin) Duncalf, grandchildren; Daniel, Laura, Megan, Ashley, Matthew, Michael, Jared, Ethan and Avery. Great Grandchildren; Haylee, Hannah, Kellen, Klay and Leland, nephew Andrew Duncalf (Jane) and their children great niece and nephew Charlie and Megan.
Mom was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Being together with her family was her joy in life. Always cooking up meals, patching jeans and knitting up socks, sweaters, blankets and scarves, the family was always reminded of the love she had to give.
A Celebration of Life was held at St. Magloire’s Anglican Church on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Brian Way officiating. Following the service everyone is welcome to stay for lunch and a time of fellowship. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes can be made to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation, 351-9th Street N.W., Drumheller, Alberta, T0J 0Y1 in memory of Nadine. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the funeral arrangements.
The Duncalf family would like to thank everyone for their care and support during her illness. Especially the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Drumheller Health Centre and the Cancer Clinic, Home Care, Palliative Care, Drumheller EMS and Red Deer Cancer Centre. Mom was very fortunate to have people around her that made her feel as comfortable as possible.
