In light of COVID-19, Yellow Hook Towing is bringing Easter festivities to homeschooled children and families through online methods.
On March 20, Yellow Hook Towing announced on their Facebook page that they are hosting their first online Easter contest for the best children’s drawings of a tow truck.
“It’s about giving kids who are homeschooled right now something to do,” said Rebecca Manzer, manager at Yellow Hook Towing who began the Easter contest.
“I’m the mother of a four-year-old daughter; the reality is that they’re not getting the same Easter that they used to,” said Manzer.
To enter the contest, children aged one to 12 are to do their “best drawing” of a tow truck.
The contest entry drawings are to be submitted by a parent, with the child and parents’ first and last names, to Yellow Hook Towing at info@yhtowing.com.
Yellow Hook Towing will not be accepting in-person submissions of contest entries.
Contest entries will be accepted until April 6 and on April 7 the contest entries will be posted onto the Yellow Hook Towing Facebook page where all members of the town can vote for the winning submissions.
Voting will take place until April 12 and the Easter contest winners will be posted on April 14.
The contest will have three winners for the separate age categories of one to three years old, four to six years old, and seven to 12 years old.
The three winners will each receive an Easter-themed gift basket filled with chocolates and candies.
