Our much-loved matriarch, “Gram” to all, passed away, with family at her side, on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Bassano Health Centre. She was born March 5, 1913 in Clinton, Washington. Gram was predeceased by her husband Matt and son Doug as well as her parents, five brothers and two sisters. She lived a wonderful full life and is survived by her brother Harold Blanes, her daughter-in-law Melvina and her family, Murray (Gloria, Clayton, Connie), Verna (Clare, Dallas,(Stephanie, Colby, Jaden), and Greg Nelson), son Cam (Kim, Jolene (Cole), Heather, Jace and Kirk); her daughter Norma (Noel Sharp) and their family Erin (Russell Hickman, Emily (Sean, Corbin), Catie (Matt) and Leah), Dana (Glenn McLean, Lindsay, (Brad), and Hilary (Tarren), and Mitchell Sharp; her son Don (Kay), son Geoff (Jackie, Ryan (Becca) Brendan), son Jamie (Dee, Jayden, (Josh), Alyssa and Griffen), and son Tom (Stacey, Nicole (Brendan), Justin and Shane (Leah). Mildred is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8th at 2:00 PM at Knox Presbyterian Church, Bassano with Reverend Peter Baek officiating. Memorial donations in Mildred’s memory can be made to either Knox Presbyterian Church, Box 566, Bassano, Alberta or a charity of your choice.
