Lovers of haggis note: the annual Burns supper goes this Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Strathmore Royal Canadian Legion.
The Strathmore Masonic Lodge is hosting Robbie Burns night with the Burns supper, featuring cock-a-leekie soup, roast beef, haggis and dessert.

The suppers are normally held on or near the poet’s birthday, known as Robert Burns Day (or Robbie Burns Day or Rabbie Burns Day) but more commonly known as Burns Night.
Tickets are available at the legion or by emailing Don Reiter at 403-613-0196 or email nightslide@gmail.com. Cocktails are at 6 p.m., the dinner starts at 7 p.m.
