A&W fundraiser for Wright family

Strathmore A&W is doing their part to help the family that lost their home to the March 31 fire in Strathaven.
Now through April 17, $2 from every Teen Burger and Double Teen Burger sold will be donated to the Wright family to help them get back on their feet following the blaze.
“This is our community, this is where everyone comes in and supports us all the time and that’s the reason why we’re in business,” said Kyra Peters, manager of Strathmore A&W. “This is just our way of helping back because our community is the most important thing for us.”
The restaurant is also accepting donations in a tip jar for the family. As well, patrons will be asked if they would like to round up their order to the nearest dollar with the donations from those orders going to the Wright family.
“Whenever something happens like this in the community we always take it personally because that’s how it feels … we just want to do our part to help,” said Peters.
