Arrest in armed robbery

A Strathmore man was arrested after an armed robbery at the HI HO Gas and Convenience store.
Joshua Stuart Munro, 18, is charged with 11 offences related to the incident, including robbery and theft, numerous firearms offences and failing to comply with previous release conditions.
Police were called to the HI HO on Park Lane Drive on March 20 at about 4 p.m. after a man entered the store brandishing a short-barreled shotgun and demanding money. The man fled the store after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.
Munro remains in custody pending a judicial interim release hearing scheduled for April 2.
