4-H scholarship available for rural youth

The 4-H Foundation of Alberta is awarding 10 Elmer and Ona Hansen Memorial Fund Scholarships in 2019, worth a total of $80,000.
The scholarship is designed to help rural farm youth who must leave home to pursue a post-secondary education or trade. The scholarship was established by Lillian and Edward Ness in honour and memory of Lillian’s parents.
One $20,000 scholarship, one $15,000 scholarship, one $10,000 scholarship and seven scholarships at $5,000 each are up for grabs.
Applicants must be Alberta rural farm youth (25 years of age and younger), have completed high school, and must be enrolled as a first-year student at an acknowledged post-secondary institution.
