HOFFMANN, Edward

Edward Hoffmann, 93, passed away on March 13, 2018 at Cedars Villa surrounded by his family.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Eugenie, his son Bob Hoffmann, daughter Rose (Peter) Walker, and his grandchildren Laurie (Jason) Nahnybida, Michael (Leah) Hoffmann, Jason (Belle) Walker, and Hayley (Martin) Sekera.
He is predeceased by his parents Gotlieb and Bertha Hoffmann, his sister Alwina Mueller, his daughter-in-law Ingrid Hoffmann, granddaughter Tanya Walker, and nephew Artur Mueller.
Edward was born on September 27, 1924 in Poland. He grew up on a farm in Poland and after the war he spent ten years in England before immigrating to Canada in 1954. He met his wife in 1956 and they married in 1957 and later had their two children. Edward spent most of his working life in Kitimat, BC before retiring to Abbottsford, BC where he spent the next 20 years growing his garden and spending time with his family. Edward and his wife moved to Strathmore, AB in 2006 to be closer to their family. Edward continued to grow his garden. His family and friends will always remember his love for his family and his smile.
