Go Big or Go Bigger, a half-day workshop and networking session for business owners, will be held in Rosebud, on the morning of Monday, April 16.
The event opens with an 8 a.m. networking buffet breakfast in Rosebud’s Haskayne-Kenney Mercantile. It will be followed by a learning session with Colin Sprake, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in Rosebud’s Opera House. The session is being coordinated by the Strathmore & District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Wheatland County Economic Development Board (WCEDB), Community Futures Wild Rose and Bow Valley College.
“The session will benefit everyone from start-up to seasoned business owners on a journey to achieve the massive success they want, earn the money they want, and take the time off that they deserve,” e-mailed Marcy Field, a member of WCEDB. “If you are driven, open, heart-centered, giving, results-focused, implementers, have integrity, and are committed to create business success, you will be glad you attended.”
The speaker Colin Sprake has built multiple million-dollar businesses around the world, and is the founder of Make Your Mark Training and Consulting, which helps entrepreneurs reach their revenue and profit potential in a way that makes a positive impact on the people affected. Sprake is also the author of Entrepreneur Success Recipe: The Key Ingredients that Separate the Millionaires from the Strugglers, and other best-sellers.
Attendees will walk away with practical tools and strategies, Field said, which they can use immediately in both life and business. Sprake believes and teaches that people can be successful in both family and business without sacrificing either, she said.
Go Big or Go Bigger is the first in the three-part Building Successful Businesses series. The second session will feature Roger Brooks, who speaks about placemaking, travel trends, community branding and community revitalization. That session will be held in fall, 2018.
At the third session, in winter 2019, Doug Griffiths will speak on “Everything is About to Change,” about changes in technology, global economics and cultural shifts, and what they mean for communities and community leadership.
The WCEDB hopes the event series will foster development of local jobs, develop more local services and products, provide an opportunity to collaborate about community needs, and be a resource to promote regional businesses, Field said.
“Come with an open mind, a willingness to change and desire to connect,” she said. “Do not forget your business cards.”
Go Big or Go Bigger tickets are available on Eventbrite.
