GARNETT, John “Jack” Edmund
February 10, 1933 – April 5, 2018
Jack passed away peacefully in Strathmore Hospital surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Ione Garnett; in-laws Lester and Pauline Robertson; brother-in-law Donald Eriksson; sister-in-law Paulette Robertson; sister Verna Willms; son-in-law Gary Richardet; and great grandson Cyrus Nel.
Jack is survived by his darling wife of 59 years Maureen; brother-in-law Milton Willms; sister-in-law Fae Eriksson; son Gary Garnett (Nancy); daughters Dawna Richardet and Judy Howden (Ocean); grandchildren Leah Nel (Dan), Lyndsay Garnett, Kaylee Garnett (Brad), Cody Richardet (Barb), Adam Richardet (Chantel), Tyler Richardet, Derek Howden, Mark Howden (Danielle), Michael Dobbin (Julia), Thomas Dobbin (Julie); and great granddaughter Ryliegh Richardet.
Jack will be remembered for his pride in his family and farm. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time in Montana and Las Vegas. Maureen spent many hours in a truck or boat for them to be together. Jack was a Charter member for the Carseland Lions Club and was an avid curler for many years. He cherished his time with his many close friends, neighbors and family.
Jack enjoyed day trips with Maureen to the casino which they referred to as the seniors daycare. He was loved by all and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
