Brian George Carpenter
January 31, 1967 – August 16, 2018

Brian George Carpenter of Brooks, beloved husband of Loretta Carpenter, passed away in Brooks on Thursday, August 16th, 2018 at the age of 51 years. Brian was born on January 31st, 1967 in Fergus, Ontario to Marie and Tony Carpenter. Shortly thereafter, his family moved to Strathmore, Alberta and his first job was at the Strathmore Co-op. Brian met Loretta Meggitt when he was 18 and moved to Brooks to start a new chapter in his life. They were married in the summer on 1988. Together they had 3 daughters and Brian was a wonderful father. He spent many weekends camping and fishing with his family. He introduced his girls to horses and spent every weekend hauling his girls to Barrel Racing Jackpots and was their biggest fan. That time was probably one of the happiest times in Brian’s life. He worked in many places in his lifetime, but his time at Chance Oil Field, working as a Pipefitter was the job he liked most. Brian loved to hunt, fish, camp, woodwork and spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Marie. Brian is survived by his loving wife Loretta; daughters, Cassandra (Tim Fayant) of Brooks, Cristin (Steven Stewart) of Brooks and Kendra (Ryan Ridley) of Lethbridge; grandchildren Adeline, Kenzie, Bella and Lilian; father Tony; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be announced at a later date.

Cremation is entrusted to Smith Funeral Home Ltd. and Crematorium, Brooks.
