Badgers make a comeback

On Oct. 20 the Strathmore Badgers had a home game against the Red Deer Steelers. The stands were full and the crowd was ready for some high quality Badger football! In fact, it was so full that people were in lawn chairs along the side lines!
The Badgers were head on against the Steelers for the coin toss and the Badgers won the toss. They decided to take the kick return, so the Steelers had to kick off. The Badgers received the ball and the offence ran some yards, then fumbled the ball. Then the Steelers picked it up and ran it in for a touchdown. The Badgers offence went out and got stopped by the Steelers defence. Soon the game was 0-13 for the Steelers.
After half time, the Badgers got a safety and then a touchdown and the score was 10-13, but it was still not looking good for the Badgers. They didn’t lose hope.
The Badgers got another safety and then scored another touchdown and the score was 18-13 and the Badgers were winning! Then the Badgers got another safety and the score was 20-13 and they held the lead.
In the fourth quarter, the score was looking good for the Badgers. The score was 22-13 when the clock struck zero.
The Badgers won so they did their victory lap! Then the part the Badgers had been waiting for all game happened and they got hot dogs, chips and last but not least soda from the food truck! The Badgers had beat an undefeated team!
