RCMP arrested and charged a Strathmore man March 30 with several firearms offences.
Dawson Hoerdt, 18, has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and carrying a concealed weapon.
RCMP were called to the Strathmore Skate Park on Brentwood Boulevard late Thursday afternoon, March 30, after receiving a complaint that a man had pointed a pistol at another person. Following a short investigation and search, the suspect was found walking nearby and was arrested without incident.
A pellet gun, resembling a pistol, was located and seized at the time of the arrest.
Hoerdt has been released from custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance in Strathmore Provincial Court on May 16.
