The Strathmore Library is hosting a painted vase class fundraiser on Jan. 24, with all proceeds going to help increase programs and services for the library.
Tickets are still available and are $40 each, which includes all supplies needed to create one painted vase or candle holder that participants can take home after the class.
The class will be instructed by Susan Fields, whose work can be seen at the Galleria in Inglewood in Calgary. Fields is well known for her stained and painted glass art pieces.
There is a limit of 15 people per session, and the program is open to participants 14 years of age and older. To reserve your spot, register in person at the Strathmore Municipal Library. Registration deadline is Jan. 21 at 5 p.m.
This fundraiser is just one part of a series of project fundraiser classes the Strathmore Library will be hosting monthly until June. Other classes will include book folding and terrarium making. Visit the events page at strathmorelibrary.ca for more information.
