The Strathmore Venom peewee B lacrosse team brought home gold in provincial championship play, while Strathmore Venom peewee C lacrosse team took silver in provincials.
“The team had the right mentality this year,” said Scott Fargey, peewee B coach. “They were really driven and were focused all year, especially in game situations. They were just awesome to coach because they knew what they wanted to do with themselves and they were just ready to do what they had to do to win. I was really proud of them and they did an amazing job.”
To make it to provincials, the peewee B team won the city championships back in June. At the provincials, they played two games on July 8 and two games on July 9.
The regular season was a good one for the peewee C team, who ended the season with 11 wins and one tie. They also won gold medals at two tournaments during the season.
