It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Prescott of Strathmore on July 16, 2016 at the age of 85. George will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Ruby Prescott; sons, Terry Prescott (Chris), Barry Prescott and Jerry Prescott (Pam); his grandchildren, Tyler, Kailey, Riley and Emily Prescott and Sarah McNeill as well as nieces and nephews. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Margret Cole of New Brunswick. George was predeceased by his sister Katie. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Thursday July 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 100 Street SE, Calgary AB). A Graveside Service will be held on Friday July 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Gardens followed by a Celebration of Life in the Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. The family would like to thank the staff at AgeCare Sagewood in Strathmore for their compassionate care.
