One game short of playoffs

As the lacrosse regular season drew to a close, the Strathmore Venom Junior B tier 2 team missed out on playoffs by two points.
The team had won some big games against some of the top teams in the league but had lost out to some of the weaker teams.
“We were the last team eliminated,” said coach Lucas Bobbit. “The team knows where they went wrong. It was just consistency they need to be ready to show up to play every game.”
Consistency had been a constant problem for the team and was something that Bobbit and the team’s other coach Mike Olver had brought up after multiple games. The coaches observed that the team brought their A-game against the undefeated Calgary Axemen and the Lethbridge Cudas, giving both teams their first loss of the season.
While this season is over, many players will return to play on the Junior B team in 2017. The team will only lose about three players because of age, but will be getting more from the Strathmore Minor Lacrosse league as well as the Three Hills Minor Lacrosse league. The team ended the season in fourth place with 7-9-0.
