McARTHUR, Margaret Bertha
April 17, 1923 – April 19, 2016

Margie passed away on April 19, 2016, at the Sagewood Age Care Community in Strathmore. Don, her husband and constant companion for 66 years predeceased her in 2014. Margie will be remembered by her unquestioned devotion to her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Bruce (June) McArthur, Sandra (Mark) Ganes, Marilyn (Don) Stewart; her grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Gamracy, Brad (Kelly) McArthur, John (Paula) McArthur, Clint (Cortney) Ganes, Noah Ganes and Hannah Maclean; great grandchildren, Cole, Manney, Hardy, Henry, Jack, Barett, Ivy, Isla and Celie; sister-in-law, Pat Robson; many nieces and nephews as well as Don Stewart’s daughters and their families; Claire (Gord) D’Aoust, Georgia and Max; Kate (Brett) Armstrong, Emma, Grace and Evan. We cannot fully express our gratitude to management, staff and the many friends at Sagewood who have supported our family through the years. Extra special thanks to everyone from the Rockyford Neighbourhood wing who took such tender, loving care of Mom for the last two years. She called them her “angels” and treasured them dearly. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Hope
Community Covenant Church, 245 Brent Blvd, Strathmore AB. At 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. Internment will take place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens following the lunch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Strathmore District Health Foundation (200 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore, AB T1P 1J9).
