LARSEN, Kenneth Leroy
May 4, 1933 – April 8, 2016

Ken passed away on April 8, 2016 in Strathmore. Ken is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son Emory; and daughter Linda (Mark). He was predeceased by his parents Leo & Vivian and brother Gary. Ken and Evelyn farmed in the Standard area until they retired and moved to Strathmore. He was always active in the community, providing a lifetime of service in many capacities including as a county councillor and Reeve of the County of Wheatland. Some of the many groups he was involved with include Victim Services, Palliative Care, Step-One-Housing, and Senior Transportation in Strathmore. He spent many years in the Eastern Star and was once Worthy Grand Patron. Ken was also proud to be a marriage commissioner and presided over several marriages in the area. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s memory may be sent directly to Alzheimer Society of Calgary (201, 222-58 Ave. S.W., Calgary, AB, T2H 2S3).
