JENNINGS, Floyd Arthur Allen

(Floyd) Arthur Allen Jennings began his journey to the other side on October 15, 2016 at the age of 58 in Strathmore Alberta. Art was the second child born to Shirle and Floyd Jennings in Red Deer Alberta on August 24, 1958. Art was raised in Winnipeg Manitoba and decided it was too humid in the summer and too cold in the winter so Art came to Alberta where he met his humorous and gorgeous wife Kim Woods. Together they decided to move to Gleichen where they got married and had two handsome outstanding boys; Trevor (1986) and Ryan (1988) Jennings. Art was very proud of them and knew they would succeed in lifes adventures. Art was a man of many talents that ranged from carpenter to heavy equipment operator. Art enjoyed pool and had used the phrase “furry boot” when out in public just to humor his wife. Art was never afraid to speak his mind and had a great sense of humor that he would share with the special people in his life. Art is survived by his wife Kim Woods; sons Trevor Jennings (Courtney Herasemluk), Ryan Jennings; also his grandchildren (whom he will be patiently waiting for and hoping that they will be just like their dads); mother Shirley Jennings; siblings Wendy Wahlund, Kathy (Ron), Randy Jennings (Dori), Roxy Holm (Rick), and Jimmy Jennings; as well as many nieces and nephews and other family member to numerous to mention (cause he was terrible with names); brother-in-laws Harold (Harvine) Woods, and Randy (Rhonda Arnaud Piercey) Woods; and finally his two furry girls, Cleopatra and Mia. Art was predeceased by many family members going way back to the big bang: Grandpa Jack, Uncle Harvey, brother-in-law Brian Wahlund, cousin and many aunts and uncles will be waiting on the other side for his personal tour. Art had his going away party and birthday party before he passed away in order to enjoy the time with friends and family. Wheatland Funeral Home was wonderful and we thank you for your help. Wendy your support was appreciated as well as many other family and friends. Thank you to Strathmore Hospital, Dr. Damji, Dr. Manocha, Dr. Bebb Nicole (home care) and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for your care and treatment. Art was not a fan of tears and was fascinated with what awaited him. Till we meet again. Happy travels. To send condolences, please visit Art’s obituary at www.wheatlandfuneralhome.ca.
