The Strathmore Venom Junior B Tier 2 took on the Calgary Wranglers on May 18 at the Strathmore Family Centre.
The game was a high scoring one, but the team ran out of steam in the third period and ending up losing 12-9.
The team has had a strong season so far and is gearing up for the remaining six games left in the regular season.
“We have had ups and downs for sure in general,” said Venom Junior B Tier II Coach Lucas Bobbit. “It has been decent, which would be the best word to put it. A couple losses here and there, a couple big wins, a couple games we should have won and didn’t, and some games we should have lost and didn’t.”
Bobbit said as of right now the team is outside of a play-off spot, but he hopes that the players will bring the right attitude to the next few games in order to finish strong and push for a spot.
The next Venom game will be on May 25 at 8:30 p.m. at the Strathmore Family Centre.
