Thurston, Doris Ilene

Feb. 12, 1925 – Jan. 19, 2015

Doris passed away peacefully at her home at Newport Harbour Care Centre at the age of 89. She lived a long and rewarding life and was predeceased by husband Reg Thurston, sister Margaret Eberl, daughter Carol Lyons and son-in-law Dennis Torgrimson.  She is survived by brother Cy Putnam (Helen), brother-in-law Bob Eberl, son-in-law Dave Lyons, son Stuart Thurston, John DuVal, daughter Anne Torgrimson, son Doug Thurston (Lynn).  She also leaves behind eight fantastic grandchildren and an amazing fifteen great grandchildren.  The family would like to express its sincere thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at Newport Harbour Care Centre.
