The Strathmore softball and fast pitch teams battled hard on the diamond in the playoffs.
The results have shown as the U10 team won their North 1B division playoffs. The girls lost the opener but were able to recover by reeling off two straight wins to clinch the Calgary Minor Softball Championships.
Meanwhile the Sabrina Tourout – coached U12B team dropped the first three games of the playoffs and now are forced to win two straight to win gold.
The U12 Thunder fast pitch team is hoping to get some redemption after bowing out of league playoffs.
Their sole focus will be on the zone playoffs on the weekend in Olds with the hope of a berth at provincials, being held in Edmonton in July.
The U16 Thunder completed their travelling league playoffs in Red Deer with a record of 1-3 and was left out of a final round playoff spot.
