It is with great sadness that we announce that Kenneth John Slemko suffered a sudden and
unexpected heart attack in Canmore which claimed his life on May 24, 2015 at the age of 67 years.
Remaining family held dear to Ken are Val, his wife and constant companion of 43 years, and his daughter Sarah (Dave), grandchildren Lucy, Zander, Evan and Teagan.
Ken and Val farmed in the Strathmore area for many years before moving to Canmore in 2002.
Ken loved the outdoors. He enjoyed biking and hiking in the mountains and scuba diving in
Cozumel, Mexico.
Friends and family are invited to an informal gathering of remembrance at the Creekside Hall, Canmore Seniors’ Center, 600 – 9 Street at 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 7, 2015.
