Jumphouse auction

Jumphouse Gymnastics is holding a silent auction March 16 to 30 to help raise funds to enhance the foam put.
“We’re looking to replace the foam, but not only that, we’re putting in a few enhancements. We’re redoing the whole bottom, it’s going to lift up the free foam and also just make it a more even and safe bottom,” said owner Cassi Weiss.
She explained that due to the way the foam is set up now, the free foam is breaking down more quickly whereas if there was less free foam and more of a solid base they wouldn’t need to replace the foam as frequently.
The approximate cost to fix up the pit will be in the $8,000 to $10,000 range, and the hope is the silent auction will help offset some of that.
“We were just trying to figure out ways that we could raise the money but also to include the community. The community has really banded together and we’ve got lots of great donations, so it’s not only us using our patrons to get help for our fundraising, we’re also using the community because it is such a good community place,” said Weiss.
The silent auction is open to the public and will be held at Jumphouse upstairs. Some of the items to bid on include a Frozen-themed bike from Canadian Tire, spray tan from bronzing bar, some art work by local artists, two full weekend event passes for Heritage Days from the Agricultural Society, vouchers from Dairy Queen, limited edition jackets from Spruce Meadows, passes for Yuk Yuks, a photography package and much more.
Anyone who wants to donate to the auction can contact Cassi Weiss at the gym 403-934-4900 or by email at jumphousegymnastics@hotmail.com.
