The Strathmore Legion held a comedy night on Sept. 11, with artists Tommy Miller and Katie Westman opening for Stephanie Foley.
Foley has been doing comedy since 2003 and has been performing across Canada in numerous festivals, comedy clubs and on YukYuk stages with fellow comedians.
Her headline for the performance was Stephanie Foley Army Wife.
While small in stature, only five-foot nothing, her stage presence was big and hilarious. Most of her act consisted of her unique perspective on being a wife and mother of a two-year-old daughter. She engaged the senior crowd by bringing back to their remembrance all the stages of giving birth and the lovely years of early parenthood. She was adept at engaging the hecklers among the participants at the Legion and very much connected with her audience.
Foley is an accomplished actress and has been a regular on the hit CBC show Heartland.
