October 27, 1978 – June 16, 2014

 

David passed away suddenly at home on June 16, 2014 surrounded by family.  Beloved son of Bill Southern and Keitha Thiessen, he is also survived by his daughter Angelica Leipert, sister Michelle Southern, niece and nephews, Haley, Riley, Colby, and Jordan Southern;  numerous aunts and uncles.  David also leaves behind to mourn him a very special friend Bobbi Yorke, as well as Joyce Friend, Terry Friend, and Brad Friend, Bill (Debbie) Hall, Shawn (Brian) Alley, and Scott (Pat) Hall.  David was predeceased by his nephew Daniel David Southern and step mother Debbie Southern.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Strathmore Alliance Church at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (1608 17 Ave SW #204, Calgary, AB T2T 0E3).
