If you have a passion for piano playing then instructor Rachel Neil at Pianissimo piano studio in Strathmore invites you to come play piano with her. Neil teaches lessons right out her home at an affordable rate. The monthly rate is $100 per student, however, if you decide to do a family rate its $100 for the first child, $75 for the second child and $50 for third.
“I learned the Royal Conservatory way. I hold my Grade 10 Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) degree and I am taking lessons to move further up,” said Neil.
“You’re supposed to have Grade 8 to teach.”
The Pianissimo piano studio is not just limited to one age group, it’s open to everyone who has keen interest in music.
“I really like my bribery system. I bribe my students, when they come for their lessons they get Beethoven bucks, which is a dollar of fake money for bringing their books and then at the end of the lesson I give them $1 for paying attention to my teaching,” said Neil.
“I teach theory right (to my students) and how to teach music from scratch and solfeggio, which is how to sing notes off of a music score.”
Contact Rachel Neil at 403-480-1060 for more information. Her hours are Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at her studio, which is 127 Aspen Circle in Strathmore.
