The Board of Directors and staff of Hope Bridges cordially invite everyone to come and see what the program has been doing in the community of Strathmore. They will be holding their first Annual Art Auction on Saturday, May 10 at 7 p.m. at the Strathmore Golf Clubhouse.
Hope Bridges will be featuring their three community pieces that will be up for auction. The first is a beautiful mosaic made of recycled credit, bank and gift cards entitled FLIGHT, the second is a beautifully painted and stenciled church bench called BELONG, and the third, a final community project, is a beautifully woven piece called CONNECTIONS. All three items were made locally with up-cycled items. They will be on display at the event, along with other donated art pieces by local artists and artisans.
The auctioneer for the evening will be local resident Grant Klaiber.
Proceeds from the event will go to support inclusive arts opportunities in Strathmore and Wheatland County. Their goal for the event is to raise a total of $10,000.
It will be a semi-formal event. Tickets can be purchased for $20 which includes a complimentary wine and cheese either at the door or reserved by calling (403) 983-3640 and for more information contact www.hopebridges.ca.
