The drop-in volleyball league wants players to come out and have fun playing the sport on Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting Sept. 17 at Crowther Memorial Junior High School.
“We are looking at those who are out of school, basically 18 or 19 and up,” said Lavern Lein, organizer of drop-in volleyball.
The league is looking for players who have some knowledge of the game and can play it competitively.
“I would say it is competitive and the skill level has to be fairly good and you have to have played,” said Lein. “The good thing about drop-in is that you can drop in one week and (the next) say you’re busy with your kids doing other stuff, so it’s not a formal league. You can drop in (any week) and we pick teams.
“You can develop your own skills and you’re playing at a fairly good level and so you’re skills end up improving as well.”
The season begins Sept. 17 and the cost is $20 for the season and $2 per drop-in.
