Divisional awards winners

Four teachers at Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) received awards from the Christ the Redeemer division office. 

The Christian Witness went to Nicole Tom, Master Teacher was presented to Darcee Evans, the Power of One went to Kilee Dovichak and the Above and Beyond was presented to Eileen Clarkson. SHA Principal Paulette Chotowetz received the award for Leadership.

At Holy Cross Collegiate (HCC) one teacher was recognized for her hard work and dedication to her vocation of teaching and to her students. Sarah Haughey received the Above and Beyond Award. 

“There are a lot of staff at HCC that go above and beyond the call of duty,” said Haughey. “Many teachers are here before and after school giving extra help, coaching and running field trips, etcetera. I feel very privileged to have received this award as there are many who are deserving of it. 

“My students work extremely hard to achieve their absolute best in performance and in class and therefore I feel the need to work hard to ensure they receive the best education and opportunities I can possibly provide.”
