Cassia Schramm – In Memory of…

Cassia Schramm of Rosebud performed a house concert for friends this week, on Dec. 18, to celebrate the release of her second album, In Memory of…, featuring three memorial songs, Marj, Fern and Shadow.
Marj was a friend of Schramm’s grandmother and saw angels in her last days. Fern was her mother’s friend who, Schramm says, was full of life and always sang karaoke. Shadow was Schramm’s beloved horse.
Schramm’s grandparents, pictured on the cover, were her first experiences of loss, and she says they’re present in each song. In Memory of… is available on www.bandcamp.com and iTunes. Schramm herself is available for spring performances and can be reached at cassiaschramm@gmail.com or Facebook.
