UWIERA, Gerald

November 19, 1927 – March 21, 2013

 

Gerald passed away peacefully at the age of 85 years at Millrise Place in Calgary, Alberta with family by his side.  He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Judy; stepson Bill; stepdaughter Margaret; sister Irma; brother Ernie (Anita); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Gerald was predeceased by his wife, Jean, of 52 years on December 14, 2007; son Raymond on January 9, 2011; and his sisters Hilda (2008) and Erica (2009). Gerald spent most of his life farming, driving truck, and doing mechanical work.  There wasn’t a vehicle in existence that he couldn’t fix or one he couldn’t build from scratch.  His magical touch will be missed. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Strathmore Alliance Church (325 First Ave.) at 2:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the charity of your choice.
