Rockyford Minor Hockey has 55 players registered this season within its four teams.
The Initiation team has a full roster of 19. They have not played any games yet however their first tournament is scheduled for January 19-21.
The Novice Tier 5 team is one of the top teams in their division with 8 wins and 6 losses. They have a total of 16 players and are also hosting their home tournament this weekend.
Rockyford Hockey had 20 players try out for the Atom team. With only 10 players on each team they are quickly becoming very well conditioned. The Atom Tier 4 team has 1 win and 11 losses and the Atom Tier 6 team has 11 losses and 1 tie.
None of these teams would be here without the countless hours that the parents and volunteers put in coaching, managing, driving, finding referees, planning tournaments and cheering the players on.
Their biggest challenge this year was to get every parent and coach to complete a “Respect in Sport” course online, which is a positive and proactive move for the sport.
All the Rockyford players are working hard, improving, and most importantly playing the game they love.
