The Strathmore and District Chamber of Commerce is once again busy planning for the annual business awards that will be held on Oct. 23.
The awards are a way for people to recognize businesses that has made a difference either with their products, services or both.
Small and medium size businesses account for 99.8 per cent of all Canadian companies. For over 34 years the Business Development Bank of Canada has organized a Small Business Week, which runs from Oct. 20 to 26.
“Small businesses mean big business to the Canadian economy,” says Joyce Bazant, Acting President of the Strathmore & District Chamber of Commerce in a press release.
“Supporting entrepreneurship is an important part of maintaining and growing our economy. The Strathmore & District Chamber of Commerce is committed to help small businesses flourish.”
Which is just one of many reasons why the annual Business Awards was first created and brought to Strathmore.
Nomination forms are available on the Chamber’s website at www.strathmoredistrcitchamber.com or by going to the Chamber office at the Country Lane Mall, Bay A1, 510 Hwy #1.
The deadline to nominate a business that has impressed you is Oct. 4.
