MORTON, Norman Alexander

November 27, 1934 – December 4, 2013

 

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norm Morton at the age of 79 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was an active community member and enjoyed ball, hockey, and curling throughout the years. He was proud to be a lifetime member of the Strathmore Lions Club. He is survived by Maureen Kaechele and her family; Noreen (Lorne) Rankine; Florence Morton; grandchildren Jess and Nick Rankine, Justin  Ruppe (Cara), Kyle Ruppe, and Kim Ruppe (Trent); great grand daughter Olive Ruppe. He was loved and treasured by all. He was predeceased by his son Wade Morton; daughter Laurie Ruppe; parents Albert and Mary Morton; brothers Louis and Tom Morton; and his sister Marion Hall. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Hope Community Covenant Church (Strathmore) at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Strathmore Lions Club (Box 2171, Strathmore, AB, T1P 1K2).
