Maize maze

The Cheadle Lions Club is opening their corn maze again for the third year. It’s located on George Freeman trail and is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday Strathmore Stampede weekend, and is set to stay open until the fall. Every year a new pattern is laid out in the cornfield. This year the maze pattern is extra special because it’s celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Cheadle Lions Club and the 75th anniversary of the Strathmore Lions Club. There are also picnic tables on site for groups who want to sit or have lunch, and the maze is very family friendly. There is a small fee to enter the maze, and it’s open in the afternoon and evening. Three years ago the Cheadle Lions Club wanted to make something to give back to the community, and three years later it’s still here. The maze is celebrating the longstanding Lion’s Club tradition in Cheadle and Strathmore, and it looks like it’s turning into a tradition in itself.
