Back for the summer!

Hi Strathmore! My name is Morgan Lee. You may recognize my name from some of the summer papers last year, as well as the 2012 Strathmore Stampede Rodeo Program. I have just completed my third year at McGill University in Montreal, taking English Cultural Studies and minoring in International Development. My degree, as an English major, is heavily dependent on writing, so I write a lot during the school year. The Cultural Studies aspect of my major also enables me to work a lot with film and media sources, and through my international development minor I have become familiar with world politics and economics. All these ingredients seem to point to somehow working in media and because of my love of writing, I thought, why not do it in the summer too?
I’ve lived in Strathmore most of my life, participating in clubs and activities like Fun Country Riders and Cheadle 4-H, so I definitely grew up as part of the Strathmore community. Now my lifestyle is a little more urban after living in Montreal for three years, but I always love coming back to my country roots in the summer. I’m a big rodeo fan, so during Strathmore Stampede you’ll probably be able to find me watching from the infield, and maybe even taking pictures for the Strathmore Times’ rodeo issue. Working for the Strathmore Times last summer was such a great experience, I was excited to get back to the team this year. Now, after taking some spring classes, I’m back in Strathmore ready to report on any current events I can. You’ll be hearing from me!
