ROLLISON, Donald E

March 12, 1937 – June 4, 2012

 

Don passed away peacefully at his home in Strathmore, Alberta on June 4, 2012.  He is survived by his wife Marilyn; sons Blaine and Brent (Angela); daughter Brenda (Todd); stepsons Doug (Suzanne) and Peter; stepdaughter Rhonda (Wayne); fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother Sydney (Maryanne); sister Vivian (Earl); several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his good friend Gary Westgard.  Don was predeceased by his parents George and Naomi and his step brother Theodore.  Don was devoted to his work with Calibur Systems Inc. until his retirement in 2010.  He loved his pets Shadow, Willow and Snow, and always enjoyed a good poker game with family and friends, although he rarely won.  A viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Wheatland Funeral Home, Strathmore from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Wheatland Funeral Chapel, Strathmore at 2:00 p.m.  To send condolences, please visit www.wheatlandfuneralhome.ca.
