On May 30 two suspects wearing ‘Guy Fawkes’ masks entered a local Crowfoot Liquor Store. The only people in the store at the time were the clerk and one customer.
The suspects, both armed, pointed firearms at both the clerk and customer and demanded money from the clerk.
The suspects were described as being 5’6” to 5’8” tall. Both wore all black, including their clothing and shoes, and wore the distinctive ‘Guy Faux’ masks.
This isn’t the first robbery in recent months, though RCMP can’t confirm if the two are connected.
“We actually had one in March, I believe it was March 3, one of the other Crowfoot Liquor Stores was robbed. It was a different scenario but there are some similarities between the two, but we can’t say that it was the same person or persons involved in that one at this point,” said Cnst. Clint Chisan.
“We don’t have any strong suspects at this point.”
The police statement reported that a mid 1980’s GMC Jimmy or Chevy Blazer, with passengers, was seen nearby at the time of robbery. RCMP are asking anyone with any information to call either the Strathmore RCMP at 403-934-3968 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
