Losing a pet can be heart breaking, especially when they have run away and you can’t find them. That’s why Brandi Romeo is now offering a $2,000 reward for the safe return of her dog Foxy. Foxy’s picture has been plastered around town and on Facebook, and despite numerous sightings no one has been able to catch her yet.
“She went missing on a walk (on) the 24th. I was on holidays and my girlfriends were looking after her and they were on a walk. She spooked and wiggled out of her harness and took off, and we’ve been searching for her ever since,” said Romeo.
At the time Foxy, who is a five-year-old micro-chipped Chihuahua, and her walkers were by the Music Centre building on Third Ave.
She has been seen heading across Hwy 1 by the Station Romeo and her friends canvassed the area knocking on everyone’s door to no avail
Another person told her Foxy was across from the golf course by the canal. Yet another had seen her heading northeast through Kinsmen Park.
Most recently, over the weekend Foxy was spotted behind Wal-Mart, but again she was too quick for anyone to grab.
“She’s fairly timid you’d have to be very cautious I think going up to her. If she’s still out there she is probably very, very scared,” said Romeo.
“I want her back…she’s my child.”
The Animal Care Centre said are many pets missing and one of the best ways to see them return home safely is to have them tattooed and/or micro-chipped.
Anyone with information about Foxy can call 403-901-5957 or 403-901-8810. Foxy can also be dropped off at Quality Canine Center 207, 5 Bayside Place, no questions asked.
