Funny Money success

 

The first annual Global Legacy Foundation Vegas Comes to Strathmore Funny Money Casino night was a huge hit! Our guests were treated like stars. They strolled through the entrance on the red carpet, had their picture taken with our lovely Las Vegas Show girls, and then were entertained at the lively casino tables and games. We had the dealers working Black Jack, Red Dog, Texas Holdem’, Crown & Anchor and Dice games. There was something for everyone!

A feast was laid out at the decedent dessert table. From individually wrapped cake pops to frosted cupcakes, jars of candy, chocolate cheese cakes, fountains of chocolate and mountains of fruit!

Our guests sipped specialty drinks and danced the night away with our DJ Darren from Full Spectrum DJ Service.

The silent auction area overflowed with generous donations and featured specialty autographed pieces with letters of authentication such as Bon Jovi’s electric guitar, Sylvester Stallone’s signed “Rocky” Boxing Glove, Signed Sheet music from Garth Brooks and the list went on!

At the end of the evening our guests cashed in their funny money winnings and put their tickets in to draw prizes at the funny money auction tables. So much fun!

Congratulations to all of our prize winners! Especially the evenings’ door prize winner of an all inclusive trip for 2 to Las Vegas Nevada!

Just like Vegas, our evening was over the top! Our goal was to host a successful evening and we did that with 275 tickets sold! All funds raised stay in the Strathmore and surrounding community for safety education and initiatives. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers and the Strathmore community for your support … and if you were not able to attend this year, we will see you in 2013!
