The Wheatland Braves have burst out of the gates like a well-oiled machine, outscoring their opposition 19-5 in the process.
The local double A peewee teams began their season on the road with a pair of wins in Southern Alberta.
The Braves hammered the Lethbridge Eagles 8-2 on Sept. 28, before squashing the Taber Golden Suns 11-3 on Sept. 30.
Next up for the squad is a pair of road tilts in Lacombe and Red Deer on Oct. 6 and 7. After another weekend on the road, the Braves will play their home opener on Oct. 19, when they host the Red Deer TPS at the Strathmore Family Centre.

Warriors update
The Wheatland Warriors split a pair of weekend games, winning at home and losing on the road. The local double A bantam team defeated the Red Deer Ramada 4-0 Sept. 28 at the Strathmore Family Centre before posting a 3-1 loss in Lethbridge the following day.
The 1-3-0 Warriors will hit the road for a pair of games this coming weekend when they take on the Badlands Longhorns Oct. 6 and the Red Deer Ramada the following day.
