Watermelon Crawl and Fill the Postal Van a success

Over the weekend was the first annual Watermelon Crawl and Fill the Postal Van for the food bank event. Organizers from this even put on a great time and also an affordable weekend. For a few soup cans or boxes of KD you got raffle tickets to win awesome prizes and for $10 you could camp out with the proceeds going to the food bank.

The afternoon started with mingling and hello’s it was a blast, the company was great. Then before dinner there was a few dance competitions with this kids which was amazing. There was also some karaoke. Then the firemen showed up! A HUGE thank you, to the Strathmore Fire Department for all their contributions to the event. We even managed to get them dancing and singing.

After a great dinner we all watched some wonderful Native Dancing put on buy Hammer Hill Dancing. They preformed a number of dances and everyone was just memorized by the dancing. At the end everyone took part in the friendship dance. After a few pictures the fire and the dance started. The music was supplied by All Genres DJ Service. The dance was a huge hit!

Unfortunately, organizers did not make their mark. They are now challenging the community and businesses.
