It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our father, father-in-law, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and uncle. Dad passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his Father surrounded by family. He is dearly missed and survived by his loving children, Herman, Nettie (Mike), Ellen (Ali), Lou (Donna), Marian (Mike), Tony, Martin, Suzanne (Mike), Paul (Christy) and Jeanette (Geoff); grandchildren, Brett, Lindsay and Garrett Hendricks, Nadia Miller, Aimee Valckx, Chris and Stacey Mittertreiner, Gerry and Rebecca Thorn, Steven Valckx, Danielle, Jesse, Mikaela and Quentin Lemay, Austin and Kendall Valckx, Emily Roydhouse, Chayse, Lauren, Reaghan and Julia McConnell; and great granchildren Matthew, Danika, Bryce, and Hayley. He will be fondly remembered for his great story telling, his passion for building and his love of fishing. He leaves a wide circle of family and friends who will cherish his memory and recall the twinkle in his eyes. He was predeceased by his wife Mary of 42 years in 1996, his son Peter in 1983, and his grandson Jason in 1982.
