Trailer Park Boys coming to Langdon

Walking around with a liquor bottle in a brown paper bag and cursing is just one of the traits people love about the Trailer Park Boys’ Mr. Lahey. On Sept. 22 Lahey will be joined by his longtime companion Randy in entertaining patrons at Wild Fire Saloon in Langdon.
“We really want to be a part of the community and we like bringing something unique, and fun, and cool,” said Cal Lloyd, who owns the Saloon with his wife.
“Something different, something that you would actually see in Calgary that is out in our little small town.”
Ticket buyers will get a 90-minute show, a buffet dinner – trailer park style – featuring Kraft Dinner. Everyone will also have an opportunity to get an individual photo with the boys and an autograph.
“It’s a smoking deal because something like this would probably go for a minimum of $69 and up in the city, but we’re not trying to gouge everybody. We’re just trying to provide a service that’s in a fun, cool, unique atmosphere for everyone,” said Lloyd.
“I think it’s going to be a very unique experience for people to get up close and personal in an intimate setting with the Trailer Park Boys.”
Tickets are selling for $24.95 a single ticket, and $39.95 for a couple. Lloyd said they are selling fast, and with capacity for only 170 people, he recommends hurrying to the saloon to get tickets before they sell out.
The doors open at 5:30 p.m. on the 22 and the show starts at 8 p.m. It’s not reserved seating, and is instead a first come, first serve basis. If everything runs as well as he is hoping, then Lloyd said he would consider bringing the boys back in the future.
“If time permits and the demand is there, then yeah, absolutely we’d be looking at doing a second show,” said Lloyd.
“Our intentions are, over the next handful of months, we want to do something on this caliber on a monthly basis.”
